At Hertford Vale C.E Primary School we work together in partnership with pupils, staff, parents, governors and the wider community to make our school a special place to be. Everyone works to create a welcoming, stimulating and purposeful environment, which aims to foster each child as an individual through providing a broad and balanced curriculum in preparation for an appreciation of life in modern Britain. Hertford Vale is a place where every person has a right to be themselves and to belong and learn in a safe and happy environment. Everyone at our school is equal and treats each other with respect and kindness. We pride ourselves on developing positive relationships which puts the whole child at the centre of everything we do.

- Year 3 and Year 4 swimming lessons30Apr2018
@ Norton Pool
The Year 3 and Year 4 children will be having swimming lessons at the Derwent Swim & Fitness Centre in Norton. The lessons take place in the morning and children will be back to school for lunch time. Please ensure your child has an appropriate swimming outfit, towel and bag to carry them in. A letter will be coming out before the date with additional details on. A £3.00 voluntary contribution towards the cost of the trip would be welcomed to help cover the costs.

@ Heslerton School
Mrs Kenyon's class will be making another visit to Badger Wood as part of their curriculum studies. This is another wonderful opportunity for the children to learn outdoors in a safe and controlled environment. The children gained so much from their last visit and the experiences gained each time help towards the children's development.

The children will have their school photographs taken today. As usual, family groups with young siblings not in school will be done before the start of the school day. A time will be sent out nearer the day to confirm when to arrive at school. If your child has siblings in the school, there is no need to arrive early, the photographs will be taken during the morning.
